Our Team

The legal services at Lewis & Trovas Family Lawyers are led by our Director and Principal Lawyer, Naomi Lewis. Naomi works across both our Sydney and Brisbane offices. Naomi is widely known as a strategic family lawyer, and previously as an astute economics and financial consultant, whose career has spanned over twenty years. Naomi is consistently recognised as Leading Family Lawyer in the Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Market.

Matthew Doyle is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and has practised exclusively in the jurisdiction since his admission to the legal profession. He brings deep technical expertise, sound judgment, and a calm, strategic approach to matters that are often complex, emotionally charged, and financially significant.

Sarah is a Special Counsel at Lewis & Trovas Family Lawyers and an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Having worked exclusively in family law since 2008, Sarah is a trusted advisor to her wide network of clients based in Queensland, interstate and internationally.

As an Associate with the firm, Emily works closely with our Principal Lawyer and Special Counsel. Emily also manages her own files. Emily has a genuine passion for family law and is exceptionally knowledgeable in its intricacies and legislative constructs. Emily has a particular interest in complex financial matters.

Shiane holds the role of Law Graduate at Lewis & Trovas, working closely with our Director. Shiane has recently graduated with a Juris Doctor and has come to the firm having worked as a Deputy Associate to a Judge at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2).

Joel holds the role of Law Clerk at Lewis & Trovas, working closely with our Legal Director. Joining the Firm in February 2022, while in the early stages of his study toward a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Queensland, Joel has honed his legal and administrative skills. Joel is a highly motivated individual who provides a professional and a high-level care experience for our clients.

With over 17 years’ experience in the legal industry, Sarah is a highly skilled Executive Assistant with extensive expertise in legal administration and the day-to-day management of firm operations. Sarah is often the first point of call for our clients.
