Matthew Doyle is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law and has practised exclusively in the jurisdiction since his admission to the legal profession. Matthew advises and represents clients across the full spectrum of family law disputes, including:

→ property settlements; → parenting matters (including cases involving allegations of neglect, sexual abuse, and psychological harm); → spousal maintenance applications; → child support matters; → family violence matters; → international family law matters; and → financial agreements. Matthew regularly advises on complex property settlement matters involving substantial asset pools, business interests, trusts, and sophisticated ownership structures. Bringing a strong commercial mindset to his practice, he is highly experienced in disputes involving family businesses and intricate financial arrangements, and works closely with accountants, valuers, and other experts to advance his clients' interests with precision. Matthew is known for being strategic, measured, and solutions-focused. His primary objective is to help clients resolve their matters as efficiently and pragmatically as possible, while achieving outcomes that are both commercially sensible and aligned with their long-term interests. His expertise and standing in the profession have been widely recognised. Matthew has been named a Family Law Rising Star in each of the 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions of Doyle’s Guide, a national, peer-reviewed directory of leading lawyers, and is consistently featured (2022 - 2026) in the ‘Ones to Watch’ list in Best Lawyers in Australia. Beyond his client work, Matthew is deeply committed to the development of the family law profession in Australia. He has served as a board member of the Family Law Practitioners Association and the Family Law Pathways Network and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
